Career hot takes: Remote work

Let's talk about it

Remote work is here to stay.

I’ve worked both in an office and remotely. My first remote job was in 2016 back when I worked in study abroad; I loved it.

I’m far more productive at home than in an office. Let’s take it for what it is; WFH reduces costs (travel, commuting, meals), stress, and distractions. I can control my distractions at home whereas in an office I cannot.

If I need to head into an office for a particular reason here and there, I will. It’s not a hard no. But nonetheless, WFH is the winner for me.
