My personal finance strategy: Part 1

I would describe my relationship with money as an interesting one.

Perhaps inconsistent is the right word. Inconsistent, meaning, I’ve definitely had to figure some stuff out by learning the hard way, resulting in the need to pivot my personal finance strategy.

Let’s start with the checking account. My checking strategy is to hold just enough to pay bills + a little buffer for any urgent matters here and there. Otherwise, my money is doing nothing for me (i.e. growing on its own) by sitting in my checking account. I’d rather that money be in a HYSA or Roth IRA.
