My personal finance strategy: Part 5

I’m pretty particular about how I use my credit cards.

I like to implement rules for myself to control the spending, while also being mindful of the perks available to me.

Usually, I won’t spend more than a few hundred on the CC at a time. This enables me to pay off the statement pretty much right when it posts. I don’t like having a lingering CC balance. Ultimately, all I’m really doing is using that card as a tool to lock in points/perks/credits/etc.

If I’m paying a hefty annual fee (which I am lol), I better use those perks!
