We’re in the thick of the holiday season, or the lead up to it, I should say.

The roads are slick, the flurries are coming down (according to what Alexa tells me in the weather report), and the holiday cheer is cheering.

If you follow me on Linkedin, you might have seen what I’m about to share. beehiiv recently came out with their 2025 ‘beehiiv rewind’ and they did an excellent job with it.

Let’s dive in.

From the colors, to the fonts, to the metrics they showed, everything was 10/10. I started this newsletter on December 23rd, 2024, and never did I think I’d stick with it, to be very honest with you. I started out with writing 100 words per day with a recap newsletter on Sundays, showcasing all 6 prior 100-word posts. I did it as a creative outlet, but I also wanted to give myself an accountability measure. Keeping it going was important to me, no matter how I felt the day I wrote it and sent it.

I especially loved this slide. I see it a lot on social media too, people showing pictures of baseball stadiums and referring to all 50K-60K seats as the size of their following. This was that version. And hey, who doesn’t love a comedy club? I love a good standup routine. (As an attendee, to be clear).

Does it come to any surprise at all that 2/3 of my most viewed newsletters had to do with Linkedin???? If you know, you definitely know. The other one was about communities, trust me, just open it and you’ll see it.

The point of all this? It’s nice to see a lil recap of your work. It’s super validating too. So if you’re out there and want to start something like this. Just do it, plz. Even on the days you’re unexcited about it. Showing up is half (maybe 3/4) of the battle.

BTW, thanks to you, my subscribers. The fact that you actually volunteered to have another email in your inbox every week… dang. You’re the real ones.
