Really, it doesn’t exist, but if it did, it would cost millions.

I’m talking about my careerlobby branded beach at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. (Never in my life did I think I would I say ‘branded beach,’ but here we are)

If you’re unfamiliar with this festival, it’s basically like the Oscars for advertising, marketing, comms and creativity. Brands from Canva, to Linkedin, to YouTube, to Salesforce, to Google, to Duolingo, to basically you name it, all show up on the French Riviera to talk all-things creativity.

Extravagant? Yes. Living up to the hype? Probably.

So because I did not have thousands of dollars to spend on a ticket, nor did I have millions to spend on an activation, nor did Linkedin invite me, I decided to take matters into my own hands and build my own beach activation for my app, careerlobby.

Is this what using AI for good means??? I think so.

I love it all. From the neon signage, to the hands-on activations, to the hang out zone, to all the career-themed copy, and the merch; everything worked so well together.

But what this really showed me are the possibilities around the visual identity of careerlobby. What it can become.

Now I’m thinking through color palettes, mascot design, and overall how the app shows up in the wild, visually. Now that I have the app in motion and working with all the fundamentals in place, perhaps now it’s time to think deeper about visual identity and branding. I love the deep green mixed with the salmon. And the hint of neon isn’t overpowering; it’s just right.

I’m inspired now to go and build out an identity for careerlobby. One that is more cohesive and unique. Because to be honest, the color palette now is just a result of building the basics of the app, so I just went with it.

I also kinda like the duck head design the image generated.

And the copy??? Here for it!!!!
